Calanova Golf Course

Calanova Golf Course is one of the newest additions to the Costa del Sol. It´s located just outside the vibrant town of La Cala de Mijas, and due to its unique design, it has quickly become a local favourite. The par 72, 5866 metre layout is built to USGA specifications with regard to the tees, bunkers, drainage and greens, ensuring the best possible golf course conditions throughout the year. Designed around its natural surroundings, Calanova beautifully caters for the medium and high handicapped golfers, who will find it a pleasure, with many birdie opportunities, yet challenging enough to cause an upset. Tees are situated at different angles and levels, providing golfers with the possibility of playing the golf course in a variety ways. Strategically placed bunkers and lakes on the varied fairway layouts make approach shots to the green even more challenging. With greens averaging an area above 500m2, golfers will find them not only exciting due to the extraordinary shaping, a characteristic which allows for many pin positions, but very tricky should you miss the green and end up in the wrong place.
