La Reserva de Sotogrande Golf Club, often referred to as the sister course to Almenara Golf, is the latest golf course to be constructed in Sotogrande, opened in 2003 it has already gained a reputation as one of the best on the Costa del Sol if not in Spain. Located in a gated community, La Reserva is a discrete, relaxing and friendly environment, the club house is built in a country house style and is one of the most impressive structures inside and out on the Costa del Sol. Facilities within the club house are unrivalled whilst keeping an Andalucian feel.
The Cabell Robinson designed, par 72 course is long at 6700 metres, but the 5 teeing areas on each hole ensure it can be enjoyed by golfers of all abilities. In keeping with modern course design, the fairways are wide and undulating with strategically placed fairway bunkers while the greens, although large are often multi tiered and heavily contoured as well as guarded with crystal white greenside bunkers.
A golf course unlike any other on the Costa del Sol and a must play course especially for low handicap golfers.
