Lauro Golf Course is situated on a plateau of beautiful parkland with pine, citrus and olive trees, some 12km inland from the Costa del Sol and 300 metres above sea level. This beautiful rural golf course consists of 27 well designed holes of golf, having just opened a third loop of nine. The course has a simple but cleaver design with many water hazards waiting to catch the slightest of stray shots. These water hazards are made from the 14 lakes in and around the course, which support an abundance of wildlife which is common across the course. Centennial Holm Oaks that have been maintained during the construction of the course, line the fairways as well as the young indigenous trees, thousands of which are planted each year. The large fast greens and challenging local winds are two of the main factors to scoring well around Lauro Golf. High and low handicappers alike will find Lauro Golf a good test, which examines their whole game. The 27 golf holes are built around a beautifully restored 18th century farm house which serves as the clubhouse and has an ancient Andalucian terrace, perfect for lunch or after round drinks.
