Rio Real Golf Course Spain
Rio Real Golf Course is one of the oldest courses in Marbella and it’s stood the test of time remarkably well as it’s still one of the best examinations of golf on the Costa del Sol. Situated in a beautiful valley between the Mediterranean Sea and the mountains with a great variety of pines and palm trees. The course is a traditional design with some tight driving holes which are lined with mature pines left and right, however there are lots of opportunities to open your shoulders on the par fives. The River, from where the course gets it’s name, which crosses the course several times comes into play immediately short of the green on more than one occasion proving equally as much a mental hazard! Although a tricky golf course in places there are many birdie opportunities if you can drive your ball in the fairway. The golf club house is adjoined with the Rio Real Golf Hotel which has a beautiful terrace overlooking golf course, making it a great place for drinks and a light lunch after your round.
