Golf Review by Terry Musson – Simply Golf Holidays November 2014.

The course at Valle Romano is set approx 1,500 metres from the N-340, the road leading to the course is under construction however this is not a problem. The golf course is set up a large hill once you arrive it is clear that the standards are high an ample car park is set in front of a aesthetically pleasing clubhouse which is adjacent to the ample practice facilities.

On entry to the clubhouse the professionals shop is ready to meet the needs of visiting golfers The staff there are friendly and accommodating and lead you out to the buggy which is fitted with the latest GPS golf system and provide you with water for your round. The shop is stocked with all the equipment and clothing that the experienced or less experienced will need from Nike, Callaway, Addidas are available in varying sizes and competitively priced.

The first tee is set away from the clubhouse but well signposted.

The course is set between several newly built urbanizations and very undulating and a buggy is advised. The course has some difficult holes the par three’s are very testing for the mid to high handicapper several being in excess 200 metres in length. It also has several signature holes the 12th an elevated par 4 which requires a well positioned drive whilst taking care not to run out of fairway. The second shot down to a green that is protected by a lake to the left. The toilet facilities are strategically placed and very clean and presentable.

The course was in good condition with some spectacular views over the surrounding countryside and Mediterranean.

On completion of the round the clubhouse offers a carefully-prepared range of Mediterranean and seasonal cuisine accompanied by an optimum wine list along with superb views of the surrounding landscape from the restaurant.

Good taste, local gastronomy and style are the hallmarks of the restaurant at   Valle Romano.
