Pinhal Golf Course, formally known as Vilamoura II, opened its doors in 1976 and has been one of the Algarve’s top courses ever since. The courses defining features include the beautiful umbrella and Atlantic pine trees which line many of the gently rolling fairways and vigilantly guard several greens. The many lakes and streams around Pinhal provide more of a scenic value than an actual hazard although this course is still an excellent challenge. This is especially true now that many holes have in fact been lengthened. Thanks to these factors, the modernised clubhouse and one of the finest practice facilities to be found, it is difficult to find fault with this stunning golf course.
