Vale do Lobo Royal Course is set amid umbrella pines and fig trees and runs right down to the Ocean. The course was originally conceived by Sir Henry Cotton; however the remodelling of the course in 1997 by American Rocky Roquemore resulted in the glorious golf course in which you see today. The picture postcard 16th hole, par 3 is perhaps the most memorable golfing image within the Algarve. The Russet Cliffs encroaching into the course between tee and green demands a well struck shot to cover the full 205 metre distance. This link parkland hybrid is a wonderful challenge and one that can be appreciated by all golfers. Vale do Lobo Golf Club boasts a second course, the Ocean Course which also ranks amongst some of the finest courses in Portugal.
