El Parador Malaga Golf Course

  • Spain - East Costa del Sol - Malaga

Maps

Course architect: Tom Simpson
Par 72: 6024m / 6566yrds

The El Parador Malaga Golf Course, otherwise known as Real Club de Campo Malaga, is situated near Malaga Airport on the coast by the mouth of the Guadalhorce River. This is without a doubt a privileged location for any golf course and a protected natural area, due to the numerous species of birds inhabiting the area. El Parador Golf is Malaga’s oldest course, constructed in 1929 it has a mature feel and its par 72, 6024 meter layout shows it was built in an era when land wasn’t at the a premium it is today. Designed by Scottish golf course architect; Tom Simpson, perhaps better known for his classic designs of Turnberry and Muirfield. El Parador Golf is part links with seawater lagoons that change with the natural tide and part parkland with the fairways forming avenues between the trees which are home to flocks of colourful parakeets. El Parador Malaga Golf is a true championship golf course, having hosted the Turespana Masters Open de Espana in 1992 and 1999; however it can still be appreciated by golfers of all abilities and perhaps the most underrated golf course on the Costa del Sol. Benalmadena golf holidays offer some of the most challenging courses in Spain.
