Santana Golf Course is a spectacular course both for its design and its location. It is situated in one of the most beautiful valleys on the Costa del Sol, the Mijas Golf Valley. As one of the Costa del Sol’s newest course’s, Santana offers a maturity that you don’t normally relate to such a new layout. A number of avocado and cork trees have been retained in the course’s development which enhances its natural setting that was originally 138 acres avocado farm with some 36,000 trees, much of which can still be seen today.
Situated between two rivers with a creek passing through the course provides the sensation of being in a natural environment away from the hustle and bustle of the Costa, while only a few minutes from Fuengirola and Mijas.
Wide fairways mixed with large undulating, well bunkered greens produce a technically demanding course that presents a continuous challenge to all levels of players. The long par-4 18th is one of the most demanding finishing holes along the Costa del Sol, with a lake along the right-hand side and a narrow approach to the green. Santana Golf Course is one of the best Fuengirola golf courses in Spain.
