Terms and Conditions

Although all reasonable efforts have been made to ensure the accuracy of the information on this website (www.simplygolfholidays.com), in our quotations, promotional material and printed media, regrettably changes and errors occasionally occur. If we identify an error we will notify you before confirming your booking. Should your booking already be confirmed we will notify you and make every effort to rectify the situation; however Simply Golf Holidays S.L. will be not e responsible for any extra costs incurred.

The descriptions of hotels and golf courses provided throughout this website has been compiled with information direct from the suppliers and through site visits with every attempt to achieve an accurate portrayal of the facilities. We try to keep this information as up to date as possible but invariably changes are made which we are unaware of. Should one of these changes interfere with or compromise the enjoyment of your holiday Simply Golf Holidays S.L. cannot be held responsible.

A deposit of 10 percent of the total package price must be paid at the time of booking. We reserve the right to ask for an additional deposit amount for certain bookings in which we are required to pre-pay an additional sum to secure you’re booking.
The balance of your holiday must be paid no later than 6 weeks before the date of your contracted date of arrival. Bookings made less than 6 weeks before the date of arrival are required to pay in full at the time of booking.
If the balance is not paid by the due date, we reserve the right to cancel your booking and retain your deposit.
Simply Golf Holidays S.L. accepts and following methods of payment;
(i) Bank transfers. The required bank details will be provided on the bottom of your invoice.
(ii) Credit or Debit cards – Visa, MC; These cards carry a handling charge of 2%.
(iii) America Express. This card carries a handling charge of 5%.
All prices quoted are in Euros and include local taxes and are subject to availability, flights are not included in any of our quotations. We may base a quote on a particular number of persons in a group, any increase or decrease in this number can affect the price.
Often we will include a number of additional supplements in a package including; Single room, Half Board/Full Board/ All inclusive or a Buggy supplement. The price for each of these supplements should be added to the corresponding per person package price. However there may also be an Airport and Golf Transfer supplement which will be quoted per group.
Our suppliers reserve the right to release special offers or reductions in their prices at short notice for limited periods depending on their production for a given time frame. If you have a confirmed booking which falls under a particular special offer or reduction in price which was confirmed before the price reduction you will not qualify for the lower rate and Simply Golf Holiday S.L. cannot be held responsible.
A Provisional Booking Confirmation is issued only when a deposit is paid and funds are still outstanding. Within 24 to 48 hours of receiving payment, if not otherwise informed, we will issue you your Provisional Booking Confirmation. This confirmation includes the times, dates, hotels and all aspects of your golf holiday package as well as detailing the deposit paid and the funds which are outstanding along with the final due date for payment.
On receipt of full payment we will issue your Booking Confirmation which will again detail the times and dates of all aspects of your golf holiday package as well as your relevant green fee and transport vouchers.
It is possible to change the numbers of your group and in some cases the dates of arrival or golf provided that the person who originally booked the package gives notification to us in writing. All amendments are subject to availability and we may not always be able to fulfil your request.
Any cancellations prior to the payment of the final balance will result in a loss of the deposit for each person cancelled.
Any cancellations made after the settlement of the final balance will result in the forfeit of all monies paid.
In the event of other amendments, any costs incurred are the liability of the client.
Occasionally we have to make changes or corrections to our website or other media, this can result in a change of an existing confirmed booking or in extreme instances a cancellation. Whilst we always endeavour to avoid changes and cancellations, we must reserve the right to do so.
Most changes are minor but occasionally, we have to make a ‘significant change’, that is one that affects the duration of the holiday or the category of the hotel or golf course. If we have to make a significant change or cancel, we will notify you as soon as possible. If there is time to do so before departure, we will offer you the choice of the following options;
(i) Accepting the changed arrangements.
(ii) Purchasing an alternative holiday from us, of a similar standard to that originally booked if available. We will offer you at least one alternative holiday of equivalent or higher standard for which you will not be asked to pay any more than the price of the original holiday. If this holiday is in fact cheaper than the original one, we will refund the difference in price.
(iii) Accepting the cancellation in which case you will receive a full and quick refund of all monies you have paid to us.
The above options are not available when a ‘minor change’ is made. If we have to make a significant change or cancel we will pay you compensation if appropriate subject to the following exceptions;
(iv) Compensation will not be payable and no liability beyond offering the above mentioned choices can be accepted where we are forced to make a change or cancel as a result of unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control, the consequences of which we could not have avoided even with all due care.
(v) No compensation will be payable and the above options will not be available if we cancel as a result of your failure to comply with any requirement of these booking conditions entitling us to cancel.
If you have any special requests, you must advise us at the time of booking. Although we will endeavour to pass any reasonable requests on to the relevant supplier, we regret we cannot guarantee any request will be met. Confirmation that a special request has been noted or passed on to the supplier or the inclusion of the special request on your confirmation or any other documentation is not confirmation that the request will be met. Unless and until specifically confirmed, all special requests are subject to availability.
If you or any member of your party has any medical problem or disability that may affect your holiday, please tell us before confirming your booking. In any event, you must give us full details in writing at the time of booking. If the supplier in question reasonably feels unable to properly accommodate the particular needs of the person concerned, we must reserve the right to decline your reservation or, if full details are not given at the time of booking, cancel when we become aware of these details.
We consider adequate travel insurance to be essential. Details of the travel insurance policies we offer can be found on the Travel Insurance page of this website. If you decide not to purchase this insurance, or it is unavailable, you must ensure that any alternative policy you purchase covers as a minimum the cost of cancellation by you or the cost of assistance including repatriation, in the event of an accident or illness. It is your responsibility to ensure that the insurance cover you purchase is adequate for your particular needs. We do not check insurance policies. Please read your policy details carefully and take them with you on your holiday.
We will make every effort to confirm your requested tee times, where this isn’t possible we will find the closest match. If your confirmed tee-time is cancelled by the golf course for any reason we will find you a suitable alternative, you will be charged or refunded the difference to the original cost.
Please be aware that golf courses reserve the right to alter tee-times at short notice and make up four-balls at their discretion.
Although the standard of each golf course is inspected on a regular basis, the actual playing condition may vary from time to time. Course maintenance such as aerating greens, improving drainage will happen and often will be scheduled at short notice, depending on weather, which means that we are not always made aware of when this will occur. Equally, in particularly dry spells, when there are water bans in place, fairways and greens may be burnt and not in the best of playing conditions. Events such as these are out of our control and we cannot be held responsible for the condition of the golf courses during your golfing holiday.
All golf courses reserve the right to request visitors to provide a handicap certificate. Although this is not a common occurrence, should any member of your party but asked to produce a handicap certificate and fail to do so he/she will be unable to play the course, Simply Golf Holidays S.L. cannot be held responsible in any way for such an occurrence.
As adverse weather is inevitable during the course of the year, golf courses may either close or operate temporary tees and greens at their sole discretion.
(i) During your golf holiday – If the golf course closes due to bad weather we can reschedule your round or give you a full refund of the costs.
(ii) Prior to your arrival – Should you choose not to travel, subject to the policy of the supplier in these circumstances, we will try and postpone your golf holiday or golf reservation; however price supplements may be incurred depending on when your reservation is re-booked for. No refunds are available under any circumstance for cancellations made due to golf course closure or inclement weather.
Please contact us for details of the ‘Bad Weather Policy’ for each golf course.
International Rules of Etiquette and Dress Code must be observed at all times.
Throughout your golfing holiday with Simply Golf Holidays S.L. you accept full liability for any loss or damage caused by you or any member of your group. Full payment for any such damage or loss must be paid direct at the time to the hotel. If you fail to do so, you will be responsible for meeting any claims subsequently made against you or against us (together with our own and the other party’s full legal costs) as a result of your actions. We expect all clients to have consideration for other people. If in our reasonable opinion or in the reasonable opinion of any other person in authority, you or any member of your party behaves in such a way as to cause or be likely to cause danger, upset or distress to any third party or damage to property, we or the supplier in question are entitled, without prior notice, to terminate the holiday of the person(s) concerned. In this situation, the person(s) concerned will be required to leave the hotel or other service. Neither we nor the supplier will have any further responsibility toward such person(s) including any return travel arrangements. No refunds will be made and we will not pay any expenses or costs incurred as a result of the termination.
Appropriate dress and footwear should be worn at all times on the golf course and in the clubhouse. Certain hotels require dress code for dinner and this will be advised at the time of booking and in the extra notes on your booking confirmation. We cannot accept any responsibility for any ruling by the hotel/golf course if you or any of your group is unable to play or dine due to inappropriate attire.
The personal information you provide when making an enquiry or in the process of making a booking will only be used to service your enquiry/booking and to add your email address into our newsletter database, which can easily be erased by means of an unsubscribe facility provided.
Simply Golf Holidays S.L will not give or sell any personally identifiable information to any third party companies, organisations or individuals.
In cases where a booking is made for more than one person, the named person responsible for booking the holiday will be treated as the lead name, who must be aged 18 years or over, for the booking. The lead name will be responsible for making all payments due to us in accordance with our contract. The lead name is also responsible for keeping all members of his/her party informed as to the booking details, and informing us, in writing, of any amendments to the booking.
We cannot accept any liability for the arrangements you have booked. Any assistance provided in resolving a complaint in relation to any booking other that what Simply Golf Holidays S.L has provided is on a goodwill basis and in our capacity as agent.
If you have any complaints concerning any services we provide (as opposed to any service provided by any third party for whom we are not responsible), you must inform us straight away in writing and in any event within 28 days of the end of any arrangements booked through us. We regret we cannot accept any liability if we are not so notified. Our maximum liability to you if we are found to have been at fault in relation to any service we provide is limited to the commission we have earned or are due to earn in relation to the booking in question.
In the case of a claim or complaint you must provide ourselves and our insurers with all assistance we may reasonably require. You must also tell us and the supplier concerned about your claim or complaint. If asked to do so, you must transfer to us or our insurers any rights you have against the supplier or whoever else is responsible for your claim or complaint (if the person concerned is under 18, their parent or guardian must do so). You must also agree to cooperate fully with us and our insurers if we or our insurers want to enforce any rights which are transferred.
If you or any member of your party suffers illness, injury or death, through misadventure, we will provide you with all reasonable assistance, even if this happens as a result of an activity which does not form part of your contracted booking arrangement.
British Citizens must have a full British Passport in order to travel to all European and Non-European Countries. If you are travelling outside European we advise your Passport should be within at least 6 months of expiry.
At present a full British passport takes approximately up to 6 weeks to obtain. If you or any member of your party is 16 or over and haven’t yet got a passport, our recommendation is that you should apply for one at least 6 weeks before your holiday. The UK Passport Service requires you to confirm your identity before issuing your first passport and from October 2006 will ask you to attend an interview. It is possible that requirements will change and so you must check the up to date position in good time before departure by visiting the travel advice section on the Department of Health’s website.
When travelling to Countries which require a visa you should obtain the relevant information from your flight provider.
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office’s website is packed with essential travel advice and up to date country specific information to help you enjoy a safe trip overseas. Visit http://www.fco.gov.uk/travel
If you or any member of your party is not a British citizen or holds a non British passport, you must check passport and visa requirements with the Embassy or Consulate of the country(ies) to or through which you are intending to travel.
All costs incurred in obtaining such documentation must be paid by you. We regret Simply Golf Holidays S.L. cannot accept any liability if you are refused entry onto any transport or into any country due to failure on your part to carry correct documentation.
We do not book flights and cannot accept liability for any delay due to personal arrangements made for travel.
If you have a complaint or experience any problems during your golf holiday please inform the hotel or supplier concerned as soon as possible. All verbal complaints must be put in writing. If the matter cannot be rectified at the time, you must notify us in writing within two weeks of completion of your holiday. If you fail to do so it may affect your entitlement to claim compensation where this would or may otherwise have been appropriate.
Except where otherwise expressly stated in these booking conditions, we regret we cannot accept liability or pay any compensation where the performance or prompt performance of our contractual obligations is prevented or affected by or you otherwise suffer any damage or loss as a result of “force majeure”. In these Booking Conditions, “force majeure” means any event which we or the supplier of the service(s) in question could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such events may include war or threat of war, riot, civil strife, actual or threatened terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural or nuclear disaster, adverse weather conditions, fire and all similar events outside our control.
All bookings with Simply Golf Holidays S.L. and all relating matters are governed by Spanish Law.
